The new brands are "Viaje", an inexpensive ($5.00) Nicaraguan puro; "Defiance" distributed by Xikar and blended by cuban cigar master Jesus Fuego (about $8.00) and "Crown David", a small cigar company that has been producing premium cigars for more then 10 years. The cigars are mostly Dominican in origin, boasting complex flavors at various strength levels. The Connecticut "Cuban Stock" toro reminded me of an Avo Signature, only less pricey. The "Exquisito Royal Stock" line offers an aged maduro wrapper combined with a Connecticut wrapper. It is a mediun to full-bodied cigar recently rated "excellent" by Smoke magazine in a taste test. All Crown David cigars are between $7 and $10.
